Mow.

I like thinking back when I ran Mow Media, my small-time interactive studio, alongside my friends at Avant Garde Advertising. It was in 2005, the bunch of us all close pals from our time at Limkokwing and RMiT Melbourne, and we had a nice little office at Damansara Perdana. It was fun. Great times.

I remember giving my name cards around with the logo that says MowForMedia, the reactions usually gets me in a rather funny conversation afterwards. I’ve always like giving the impression that I’m some kind of creative bad boy, and the company name did gave that cheekiness effect I wanted. Hehe. You know what I mean.

Even up to today, I still like explaining the name MowForMedia (now that I use it mainly for showcasing work I was involved with since leaving for a full time job.)

MowForMedia. Sounds wrong ain’t it? Explicit?

Not if you get what I mean. Mow, as in mowing the lawn. For media, as in the lawn seriously needed mowing. I was really into that. Cleaning up the mess and re-beautifying interactive media, I mean. I was (and still am) passionate about the benefits of web standards. User experience and accessibility is a big part of what I do on a daily basis.

Like I said, I like giving that “bad boy” impression. It’s all good, actually. ;)

Yo.

DCFC’s latest album, Narrow Stairs, is out! Finally I got a reason to hit the record stores, replace my iPod, and day-dream again! Woohoo!
